Belek is located 30 km east of Antalya, between the Aksu River and Acısu Stream, stretching over approximately 20 km of coastline in one of Turkey’s most beautiful special tourism and environmental protection areas. It is also in the heart of the Pamphylia region, which has hosted many civilizations throughout history, and is in the most fertile basin of this region.
Due to the 300 days of sunshine a year, Belek is one of the most preferred vacation destinations for both local and foreign visitors. Belek, with 49 hotels offering different alternatives, 15 golf courses, 10 golf clubs, 55 football fields, 253 tennis courts, and 200 conference centers, plays a leading role in the Antalya tourism sector.
As a special tourism zone, Belek has developed in a planned manner while maintaining respect for the environment and nature. Along the coastline, habitats for endemic plants such as the Sea Lily have been preserved. In cooperation with Hacettepe University, the project to protect the endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtles has been successfully carried out for years. Hotels, through Betuyab, have also supported this project with all their staff.
Guests vacationing in Belek will not only stay in luxury hotels but will also witness the dance of migratory birds and squirrels between the pine trees.
During Belek’s time as a town, the local government built good relations with hotels, transforming it into a beautiful and modern tourism town. Now, it continues as a neighborhood under the Serik district. However, due to the efforts of Betuyab and the hotels, it has become a globally recognized special tourism area. The investments made, media promotions, and global events have helped the Belek brand gain prominence. Major events, such as the G20 Summit, the Antalya Diplomacy Forum with Russian and Ukrainian representatives, the Turkish Airlines Open with Tiger Woods, Martin Kaymer, and Colin Montgomerie, winter camps for many famous European football teams, and the ATP 250 Tennis Tournament, have all been successfully held at hotels in Belek, thanks to their impeccable service.
Belek, in addition to contributing to Turkish tourism by hosting visitors from all over the world, also demonstrated its commitment to equality among religions by opening the "Garden of Religions" in 2004. If you cannot visit Jerusalem, where the three major religions meet, you might want to visit the Garden of Religions in Belek. Located in Antalya, it houses a church, mosque, and synagogue, and its purpose is to emphasize respect and tolerance for religions in our country.
What can guests do while vacationing in Belek: Belek hotels are so luxurious and designed to meet all the guests' needs that most visitors don’t feel the need to leave the hotel. However, due to its central location in the east of Antalya, Belek offers many alternatives to visitors. Belek city center has many tourist shops, banks, pharmacies, Lc Waikiki stores, and a weekly market held every Saturday. Minibuses leave every 20 minutes from the hotels to take guests to Belek town center. Guests staying at Belconti Resort Hotel can also walk to Belek.
